The Nate Silagyi Foundation

In Memory of Nate. In Service to Others

Nate Silagyi was a loving son, brother, and friend. He was a storyteller, a collector, and a creative. He was a natural caretaker who felt and loved deeply, always looking out for others—especially the “new kid” in the room.

We lost Nate to suicide in 2019. In navigating our own journey afterward, our family recognized how deeply mental health challenges impact the entire family. We created the Nate Silagyi Foundation to carry on Nate’s caring spirit.

Today, we honor his legacy by equipping parents with the resources and guidance they need to support the siblings of youth with serious mental health challenges.

Support Our Mission

We are working together to create a positive impact on our state. Your gift helps us advocate for the siblings of youth with complex mental health needs, connect families with resources, and more.

We Are Here for Your Family

In families navigating serious mental health challenges for one child, their siblings may quietly carry their own heavy emotional load. We provide parents and caregivers with the tools needed to navigate these complex family dynamics and nurture the well-being of every child in the home.

Caring for a child with complex mental health needs is often a full-time commitment, and you cannot pour from an empty cup. We are here to help families navigate and locate respite care, so caregivers can reset and maintain the long-term capacity to support their entire household.

Ready to Listen. Here to Help.

We believe that no family should have to navigate this path on their own. Whether you are seeking resources for your own household or would like to get involved with our mission, we are here for you.
